| long strands of wheat with spheres of meat sitting upon them!! very satisfying to twirl on the metal stick you call a fork. the red sauce is made of tomatoes, which are not vegetables but fruit ~ this confused me very much. but the dish is wonderful regardless of what category your scientists put it in. |

1 box of spaghetti (the long strands) 1 pound of ground beef half a cup of breadcrumbs 1 egg 2 cloves of garlic, chopped very small a handful of parsley 1 jar of tomato sauce, or a can of crushed tomatoes salt and pepper olive oil parmesan cheese to scatter on top |

1. in a bowl, mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper. use your appendages. do not be afraid. 2. roll the mixture into spheres. each one about the size of a small earth-egg. 3. heat olive oil in a wide pan. brown the spheres on all sides. they do not need to be cooked through yet. 4. pour the tomato sauce over the spheres. lower the heat. let them simmer together for 20 minutes. 5. while the spheres simmer, boil a large pot of water. add salt. add the spaghetti. cook until soft but still with a small bite. 6. drain the spaghetti. place it on a plate. spoon the spheres and sauce over the top. 7. scatter the parmesan cheese. eat with the metal stick. twirl. do not be afraid to make a mess. |
| kl'vaiim's note ~ i have read that on your planet there is an old story where two animals share one strand of this dish until their faces meet. i find this very romantic. i would like to try it one day. |
