1. haakllsh-napa
a thick stew of the vrennka root. the root tastes sweet first, then bitter, then warm. every l'hool child grows up on this. i miss it more than anything. |

2. shorl'mei flatbread
a thin fermented bread that takes seven days to make. we tear it and pass it ~ it is meant to be shared. one is never enough for a table. |

3. ikii-ta curd
cold, sharp, and pale. served on the longest night of our long year. an acquired taste even for us. please do not be alarmed by the smell. |
